Was a bit apprehensive going for bright orange at first (my god its bright), but now I love it. Here's the lowdown:
I've been lusting after a Transporter for ages. I've kept it 'utility' so I can stick toys in the back (bikes etc.). So chuffed with it! Looking forward to many adventures together..
- Ex-RAC T6 T32, 117k miles with DSG box (so good!)
- Colour-coded bumpers, spoiler and sportline splitter. Bit cliched, but had to be done..
- Calibre Five 18" matt black with 235/55 Falken all seasons. Love the extra profile height - works better on 18s with the big arch gap
- Ezee Grey Hex seat covers - pricey but worth every penny
- Heko wind deflectors - they work well
- Kept the bulkhead in, penny rubber flooring in the back with sound deadening and carpeting on walls and ceiling
Next mods? Thinking of maybe going for a semi-swamper look with some black arches and sidebars. Was going for sporty look, but those wheels and the ride height ended up looking a bit more chunky than I expected.
What do you think?
Thanks @racT6busWelcome to #TeamOrange and good luck with the conversion
Welcome aboard. Just take your time and if in doubt ask the forum for advice.Hi All
I am just register on this forum and I would like to say hallo to everyone a huge thank you to accept me on this fabulous forum.
I have just purchased on Monday on auction a beautiful bright orange ex RAC reg. 2017. I have a bit of feeling that this one had some issues in the past and log book only until May 2022.
After first day a service light and oil change on the dashboard come out. This is my first project to convert it onto a van.
I am an optimistic as I own a Golf 2011 and after few bypass on the engine heart it runs smoothly and 250.000miles on the clock!
I am starting the complicated disassemble process of the racks. And then I will see what I can do to convert it into a camper.
I will be please and don’t hesitate if you would be able to share your experience and address me on the right direction during this project!
Thank you
Fed
Brilliant! ThanksMy new bumpers and spoiler are in the paint shop now. They tried a mix on 2 different scanning machines using the code under the dash LH2L but wasn’t close enough. Just picked up a litre from a supplier who supplies it regularly, this is the pot… it looks a good match. Hope this helps
