The VW Driveway Fleet...

Got a Polo GTi on a 2 year lease. This is the only picture I have of it so far :)

It's fun.

GTI's are great cars. Few changes for me, the blue Mk5 Gti was unusually a pile of crap so sold on. Replaced with a B5.5 Passat Wagon, 2.8 V8 4motion in good nick with w8 interior. Becoming my favourite car at the moment in the wintry conditions.
The 911 was sold after 7 years, just wasnt getting used for anything other than commute so went for a Scirocco r to replace it as we can get both kids and dogs in it. Must admit very impressed with it out the box. Will be getting lowered soon, different wheels and remap but thats it I reckon.

You don't need a Kleinmetall dog-guard for that B5 do you? Trying to give one away to save it from landfill, but no takers...

Just found this thread.

Does this count? Little and Large together! My wife was out in the Golf estate when I took it though, so couldn't get the three bears in one photo!

Well, that didn't last long, traded it in today and put down a deposit on this.
Loving how it looks so the only plans are a Racing Developments air intake and probably a Revo stage one engine and gearbox map.

Man after my own heart! Had the mk7 R in manual regret selling it and wanted another convinced I was getting the mk7.5 but went to heritage and drove a new mk8 wow!
Wasn’t to sure on the styling to begin with but has grown on me now!

I like the look of the mk8 but it's the dash that I think I might struggle with, although from some of the reviews I've seen, you do get used to it.
I was watching a review of the new Tiguan on YouTube last night and VW seemed have back tracked slightly and ditched the haptic buttons on the new model.

Yes this was another reason I was adamant I was getting the 7.5 because I also read reviews on the haptic buttons but was told it was on the earlier models but they’ve now resolved and to be fair I’ve had it 3 months now and no problems what so ever once you get your head around it!

All change again for me. Bought a 986 boxster as to compliment the Scirocco with idea to sell the Passat but I didn't take to it so decided to sell the Boxster and trade the Scirocco in for a fast daily that kids and dogs can fit in. Must admit I'm super impressed with it for an all rounder and fun car as well.

I love a B5.5. I had a V6TDI waggon for about 8 years. I'd have a PD130 Sport 4Mo as a daily smoker if I could find one that hasn't been to the moon and back and got rusty wings.

I fitted W8 bi-xenons to mine. It was a simple straight swap. The plugs were even the same. Cars were so much simpler not all that long ago.

What front splitter does yours have?

Thanks. It's a Reiger one. I won't find another like this in this spec hence why I decided not to sell.

2.8 V6 petrol 4motion manual with no rot and lowish mileage. Never seen another.

The only VW I have owned other than my camper waw a brand new Gold MKV GTi, one or the very first in the UK.

A few months into ownership it caught fire while I was driving it. It went up suddenly and within seconds was a serious mess. It didn't even give me time to pull over so had to bail in lane 3 of the M20. I was popular that day!

Better unpopular than burnt to a crisp.

Did have a mk2...

Golf1.jpg
Which made way for a Clio 172. I then sold the Clio for something more VW and bought a Corrado with a 20V conversion

Corrado.jpg
It's a dog and is currently having the running gear re-shelled into another, better Corrado. However the job was taken on by somebody who shouldn't be allowed to do anything that involves planning or timescales, and we are now into the seventh month of what should be a straightforward job.

I also have a C7.5 A6 Avant that I daily (as well as another Clio 172) and would like to replace the A6 with a Golf GTI 7.5 PP

I've had a few (8) of them before. Really fancy another but prices that are being asked are high, there is a lot of rusty and tired ones now as well so probably rose tinted specs.

Great cars though, a mildly modded Vr6 is sweet spot.
