Tie down holes.

So I am taking out my rubber floor and put a 12mm ply down, I don't need the tie down anchor points. I have had a bed system installed for the last few years so haven't got ant bolts for the now vacant holes in the tie down points.

Guessing I can just get some M10 x 16mm bolts and put in the vacant holes, secure with Loctite and a rubber washer and that should stop water ingress?

I used the bolt holes for the tie down points to fix the plywood floor down. Worked well. I cannot recall the bolt size but replacements were standard metric size from the hardware store. I used standard bolts but if you used Countersunk heads they would sit flush with the ply.
The hardest part was drilling the holes in the ply in exactly the right place to line up with the ex tie down hole location

That is the only bit I am not looking forward to, I know it is a 70mm bit I need (and have), I have some cardboard to mark up first, then once that fits I have a bit of off cut board to test again, once that is done and fits I need to man up and drill the 12mm plywood I have, I have 25mm screws to put through the plywood and into the floor.

You could grind a point onto a bolt with the head cut off to screw into the anchor point drop the board in hey presto. Or cut the head off and a blob of something on the end. Paint, grease etc

I prefer the pointy method as you can manoeuvre the floor then tap to mark once its in the right place.

Just be aware the threaded bits under the van are on flimsy metal L brackets riveted to the chassis and can move around! One of mine had been butchered by the dealers and just needed a tap running through (one behind drivers seat)
