Hi,

I know the question regarding big brakes is asked like... daily. but i am just planning on replacing my disks and pads. starting with the rears as they flagged as low on my MOT. Van has done 105k and still on the original brakes!

I would like to get another 100K miles so I am looking on GSF and ECP and I can see loads of options, which ones do you guys suggest? I was just looking at the brembo pads and discs but thought i would check in here first :)

I’ll be looking at @Nutexa Frictions next time I need any. One of our trade members.
These guys are just around the corner! damn! however im not really after a performance upgrade, my van just rolls along, never more than 60 unless i'm in a hurry! Lol.

Thanks for all the links, i will take a good look and see what the price differences are. i will be fitting myself so was looking for a direct replacement rather than something that needs any modifications. :) those PAGiD ones are pricey so i was looking at the brembo, its a name i recognise thats been making brakes since I was knee high to a grass hopper.

Thanks again

Edit, if you go larger to the 204 or 340mm on the fronts, do you need to replace callipers or anything else, or is it just bolt off bolt on?

Being larger, would they last longer?

The brand name Brembo is well known.

It's not so well known that their bread and butter stuff is made in India. It's only the Gucci high performance or specialist stuff that's EU made, and not even all of that.

Delphi-Lockheed for discs. Inexpensive, excellent wear and performance, also made in India in the same foundry as Brembo, Geomet coated so they won't rust out before they wear out. Nothing whatsover wrong with Brembo discs - theyre very good - but the DL blanks come from the same source, perform equally well, have better anti corrosion treatment, and are usually less expensive.

Mate that with OE pads would be my choice for regular use.

Had good results on previous vehicles using ebc ultimax or redstuffs. Extremely low brake dust, no squeals and good bite.
Discs, I normally go oe ATE or TRW.

This will be my route again come replacement time

Hi Steve, thanks for the tags guys. I’ve been trading at CamperMart over the weekend so missed them

We don’t just do a performance upgrade, we also do a plain option which is still a carbon/steel disc and very well priced against most major factors.

As used by @Dellmassive @JOG @Salty Spuds @CRS Performance @Dav-Tec and many more vans on here

Please feel free to contact me with and questions and don’t forget the discount code T6FORUM
