Towbar Preparation Question

I have a new T6.1 with tow bar prep.
will it need coding when the 13 pin wiring is plugged into the socket in rear quarter panel

No it won’t need coding. If you have towbar prep then the module is present and coded at the factory

Hi @Deaky and @JOG I had this arrived today from P F Jones.
2 boxes!!! One box looks about right for trailer prep van.
1 x black 8 pin and 9 loose wire ends and a loose 12 pin intermediate socket.
Second box has wiring harness, fuse and relay that seems wrong to fit with trailer prep wiring. Help!!!!

I had that too! Fitter never needed the second “universal” box - I ended up giving it to fellow forum member who was making up a loom. Follow the instructions for a van with prep

No! I had a fitter fit it. What are the options?
