Tracker

Speaking of insterlation I’m having one fitted this week. The guys I’m using are very good and also do loads of audio upgrades. They said you wouldn’t believe some of the pathetic installs they have seen over the years. Simple under carpet/under seat etc which could be easily found. Like everything paying a little extra can be worth it.

Like the look of these. After purchase what are the the other costs.
You pay an annual maintenance agreement of £81. There is no installation charge as you simply place it wherever you want (comes with a 3m pad for this purpose or you screw/bracket it down somewhere) - this way you can avoid the more obvious places other people would place and/or look for them.

See my comments about battery life - mine is currently showing 51% (increased from a low of around 34% - guessing they have changed the algorithms again). So long as I get at least 3 or 4 years out of it I will be happy.

Many thanks, I pick the vehicle up next week so haven't read the book yet chers
Quartix trackers are brilliant. Used them for years and no issues. One word of advice having tried a few, you u get what you pay for.

I've had mine nearly a year and still haven't read the book. I find this forum to be the best source for information. Although sometimes I find things on here that I wished I'd known about since having the van. For example, I only found out last week that I can use the Discovery media unit for WiFi.

So the discovery sat nav media system has wifi?
How does that work ? Whos the provider?

You can pair it to your phone for simple usage, or buy a USB dongle with subscription for proper WiFi.
