TSi MPG

Milltek is working on a down pipe.
This si what they wrote me:

"With regards your enquiry our German technical team will be looking into the T6 TSI downpipe options in the near future."

Or you do like I did to go stage 2 you buy second on german Ebay the Two Catalysor converter. I paid 175 and 150€
then you take a harmer and empty those.
Many tuning company have tested KATMOD ( gutted kat ) vs Straight down pipe wit similar result. Search on JD Engineering and DVX facebook.

Well back from the vag show and the problem the tsi has moving on with stage 2 is no one wants to build a down pipe. I found a importer of mtm tuning of German to see if they make one or have one made . If I want to go stage3 the turbo is the easy part it’s the pipe from the air filter to the turbo it’s the opposite all other vw cars . What I got from the tuning company’s is we transporter owners are not in to tuning and that’s where we are at.

MTM you pay super expansive for cheap engineering. Look at their stage 1! A piggy back for 2000€!!!! Who are they jocking. and 22000€ for a K04-64 turbo!!!!
Stay far away from those German stealer's
About the turbo that is why I propose you the TurboZentrum OEM with KO4 wheel inside. their nothing to change. You remove your turbo, send it to be CNC milled and fitted with K04 wheel, you put back in this turbo, then you go to a tuner to get tune for that. Done. I would suggest a Wagner EVO2 IC also.
HGP use this solution (Bearbeiteter Serienturbolader mit größerem Turbinen-u. Verdichterrad)
and get 360 Hp and 490NM:
VW Multivan T5 - HGP Turbonachrüstung GmbH
Or if you want more power the TurboZentrum K04/EFR 6758 or K04/EFR 6258 as it got same layout as our OEM turbo with intake straight in center. That turbo is 500HP proven on T6 see the video that I post earlier at 0.32 minute you can see clearly that Turbozentrum K04/EFR hybride.
quite straight forward to fit.
here link to that turbo.
EFR-6758 VAG 2.0L TFSI Turbo Upgrade mit Integral-Krümmer Version 2.0, 2.799,00 €

also what Russian guy did with that turbo on a A5 B8 that have same EA888 Gen 2:
Audi A5 2.0 EFR-6758 Build

Hi thanks your input but when I spoke to milltek they did not a tsi t6 to work with and they have only had 6 enquiry’s and they need to sale 34 to make profitable also spoke to Scorpion it’s a no go and cobra will look into it. But the turbo is the simple part of the build. By the way are hg motorsport in German good our bad was going to email them thanks

Don't go to those german tuner company they are crazy expansive. build your own kit.

- Hybrid turbo from TZ 1090€ or Loba they offer the same OEM turbo modification at same price.
- two second hand original catalyzer where you remove the inside with a armer ( same performance as straight down pipe) 500€ that is called KATMOD
removing the inside took me about 10 minutes. A child can do it.
Or if you know you will never need the original Kat then it cost you 0€. I need to put them back to pass inspection every year.
- wagner tuning EVO II Intercooler 800€
- Remap by a good tuner 600€
Total part cost 3090€ ( or 2590€ if you don't need a set of oem Kat for inspection)

You need to spend about 8 hour to fit those part in your garage or any mechanic can do it. it's just a turbo swap and a IC swap.
No part to build and the Van look totally OEM for inspection ( same oem turbo, same oem Catalyzer down pipe)

This will bring you around 360hp and 500nm

Some exemple of golf GTI 6 stage 2 running Katmod:
JDEngineering
JDEngineering

Now same tuner stage 2 GTI 6 with full milltek 3" exhaust system ( included the down pipe):
Mark Huijssoon

As you can see about same power.
So until now Katmod is our only solution.

320 ch pour 461 nm ... dis donc ça doit avoiner grave :)
I said to Mars2 that it would be a very nice pleasure to have 320 Hp

What about the consumption ??
Is there a huge difference between stock and modded ?
Here in France it's really "hard" to find petrol engines because CO2 taxes

The consumption went down already with my first remap 278 HP that was for 98 gazoline ( about 1 liter) because the DSG stay much more in higher gear when you cruise cool on highway
because of the torque. before the DSG was often kicking down to 6 or 5 going uphill now it say's in 7th.
For sure if you go Wide open throttle it take's more because more air goes in ( higher turbo boost) so it need more gazoline to stay at stochiometrique air fuel ratio.

On the new Map 320Hp I cannot compare as this is a map for E85 and you need 30% more of it. But the gas station where I take E85 sell it for 0,58€/liter
So almost 3 time cheaper than 98 gazoline. So now it is same or maybe cheaper to drive than a TDI.
To do 100km it cost me in cool driving ( 150km/h on highway) it cost me 17.5x0.59=10.33€/100km. so the is like a TDI using 7.3 liter/100km ( 10,33/1.42 price of diesel at same gas station)

I don't think the TDI 204 DSG 4motion use only 7.3 Liter at 150km/H on cruise control at least not the one from my brother
I compare to DSG 4motion because my TSI is DSG 4motion.

PS: their is no CO2 taxe on Work Van in France. only on Caravelle, multivan.... But they don't produce those anymore.

I forgot consumption on the new tune should go down when runing with 98 gazoline at WOT (wide open Throttle) because the new tune as Lambda target of 0,82 VS old tune that was 0.76 ( very reach). cruising should be similar as in this case both tune request lambda taret of 1 ( poor mix economy) so does also the oem Tune from VW.

But I don't know when I can verify that because with 98 at over 1.6€/liter at the moment I'm not interest in runing some, plus with 98 I will loose at least 15 Hp and 20Nm.
This tune is Flex Fuel tune so I can run 98 gazoline or E85 or any mix of the two the ECU adapte automatically AFR target ( Air fuel ratio) for it.

Hi I don’t know what a standard 204tsi does mpg but I have a revo tune with a sps switch with 4 modes and is set for 97 Ron £1.32 which gives you about 250 ps and I am getting 26mpg

After 1200 miles on a 150tsi manual, I’ve averaged 27.5mpg using 97ron Tesco fuel. Did better with the old S3

Christ! I hope the boffins are working on a hybrid. Sub 30mpg is a no no for me.
But if you want a van and then convert it, it’s no exactly a lightweight plus the windage factor and not exactly the best shape for mpg.
I’ve got a 204 dsg petrol and running around get 25 - 30mpg

My Kombi does 40+ mpg, and for the miles I do thats what I require. I'm not going to be changing for another couple of years, but I hope there will be a viable alternative, if the diesel engines are becoming a thing of the past.

@Mars2
I didn't know that you have a "french'" transporter , I though you have a caravelle / california / multivan :)
By the way it was an import ? How did you find it ? It's very rare to find petrol engines in France because most of work vehicles are diesel

I order it from Volkswagen dealer in November 2015 and got it 7 of January 2016 brand new.
VW T6 Transporter 5 seat TSI 204hp LWB DSG 4motion. I'm spending full winter in the Alps so I need the 4 motion and it's so cool to drift on snow with the van.
Just wish I could have it with Manual gear box.

Before that I had a VW T5 V6 transporter LWB 4Motion that I imported from Germany and before I had a T4 VR6 LWB Caravelle that I bought from Chinese consulat in Marseille.
All of them have been tuning on E85.

You're a kind of used in transporter especially petrol :)
For me it's the first big Vehicle after near 15 years of Touran.
I'll PM you when i go to the south just to feel the power (if you still have the car), i live near Lyon
By the way i heard that you can't swim in the mediterranean sea near Marseille
Do you noticed that french T6 forum are very "poor" that's the reason why i'm here ;):p

I wish we could get tsi 4motion as this would have been on the drive
