I prefer this. Quick, easy to use and dispose of waste. Far more environmentally friendly than a Nespressoproblem solved
I agree, each to their own. But we have lithium & a 1600w Sterling inverter. I wouldn’t be without the Lithium battery, but in 6 years of having the van, we’ve only used the inverter once in anger. If I was doing another van build, I wouldn’t bother with the inverter.This is true, gas is better at heating water etc.
but sometimes people just like a challenge.
@czmate1999 has a microwave in his van for example. ( he runs twin 100ah lithiums and 3k inverter)
@Rids has a very impressive setup (1600w vic` multiplus)
@Samro has nice setup too.

i run the 230ah lifpo4 and have 2k inverters, but struggle to fit them under the seat bases due to size,
so for now im running a 1000w Renogy inverter,
ill build a box for the back at some point to house the larger 2k inverters, and may look at moving the battery to back as well so i can refit my under seat sub.

I wouldn't be without my inverter since recognising how little power a sandwich toaster actually uses!...... Sure it is 900w, but once hot it only draw 900w for around 10% of the time. For me, taking one of these has been a game changer to allow a quick hot toasty or panini or omelette.I agree, each to their own. But we have lithium & a 1600w Sterling inverter. I wouldn’t be without my inverter either… a compact kettle of about 900W makes a pair of nice fresh brews in the van without getting out of bed ! Especially fine on the way back from the Alps with -5C outside & ice on the inside of the windows at 6am…I wouldn't be without my inverter since recognising how little power a sandwich toaster actually uses!...... Horses for courses and all that!
My battery is the older 200Ah Roamer seatbase unit and is limited to approx 120A.
When on a camp and set up I’ll use gas… outside or at the edge of the van…
