Van Fire! Parts Needed.

I'm OK thanks girl, apart from having to drive about in my dad's Suzuki Super Carry Van aka the biscuit tin. Shouldn't complain too much its free!
That's bad news, hopefully there's a silver lining along the way.

Well the assessor has recommended the vans a total loss

If I'm honest , I'm relieved, at least I know now and can move forward. New van shopping has started already, it will have to be a stock van as I couldn't wait months for an order vehicle.

So it looks like the silver lining is actually indium grey! I've found an unregistered lwb kombi 204 dsg 4motion. Cancelled order, very lucky on my part. The vans getting pdi'd and I should be able to pick it up early next week all being well.

Still no word from my insurers about the smoked one, moved it in the drive yesterday and the Nav unit no longer works, it's a Catb write off so parts only, shame, bloody good van!

I take it they haven’t said whether they’ll leave the van with you to break for parts?
Flights booked, off to pick up the new van tomorrow, can't wait it's been a tough few weeks but the light is most definitely now at the end of the tunnel.

Where you getting it from?
Listers PDI Centre in Stratford, bit of a trek from Perthshire but I'd rather that than have some goon drive my brand new van here. Vw have paid my flight and train fare which is a bonus.

Wow that is a proper Brucey Bonus. Be a nice drive home as well.
Made it home safe and sound. It's only now I notice that a drunken baffoon stuck the badges on, squinted than a squinty thing from squinty ville!
Not really a biggy but a tad annoying.. I'm expecting a follow up call so will mention it then and ask them to send me replacement badges and to sack whoever stuck them on.
Other than that the van is superb, absolutely love it, I'll be racking it out over the weekend and getting it earning its keep come Monday morning!
