I think it was Morrisons just down form the dealers and I always park like that as far away from the front of store as possible, much to the annoyance swmbo!
Example of the squinty badges, really bad , my number plates are squint too but my private plates will be going on in a week or so so not too fussed.

I have just successfully removed them, will be requesting some new ones tomorrow!
Leave them off, keep that rear end smooth as a baby’s bottom.

I wouldn't suggest you try doing it yourself. I had mine done with BUPA.
They are fixed on with 3m tape. You need heat. If you don't have a heat gun then use a hair dryer or boiling water and a plastic spatular or something similar.
Why didn't you say yesterday???? It's the first thing I do to every car, and getting good at it now. I even managed to not damage my paint with the screwdriver I used to pry them off.
Best way is a little heat and twist the letters, they will pop off quite easily.
Any excess tape left behind rolls up on your thumb if you have a dry hand.
If you get it hot enough you should get off all your gunk.
.If not then use tar and glue remover on the residue.
