My van stood most of winter and battery was completely flat, had to use key to open doors. Started with power pack with no issues from the ghost so don't think a flat battery would have contributed.how long was the van layed up unused for ? - do we think the flat battery issues was a contributing factor? - or even the charge after?
No way of knowing but the van was used several times before the problem occurred. The problem started when I was trying to put Ghost in Valet mode.do we think the flat battery issues was a contributing factor? - or even the charge after?
Got to say I'm disappointed at their CS so far. Makes you think are they having lots of claims now they have been in service a while?Autowatch have sent a warranty claim form to the installer and will look at my claim. Fingers crossed!!
Glad it’s working well for you. I had mixed feelings when I first had some hiccups with mine (fitted by previous owner) but now that the wife and I are used to it, no problems at all.Just to update this thread. Autowatch came through in the end and supplied and fitted a new Ghost all FOC. After much thought I have had it fitted as @Loz says there are many out there working perfectly. Great service from Mobile Solutions in Derby. Only time will tell.
i experienced the same problem today with my Ghost 2. Lucky for me the Van was on the drive loaded for a short camping trip. Glow plug warning flashing, no engine turn over and immobiliser msg on MFD.Hello, Interesting reads on here thanks for posting.
I will had my experience into the mix... Van ( t6.1 2020) 35K miles on the clock
I have had a ghost immobiliser, tracker and dash cam fitted for about 3 weeks by - www.ghostinstallations.co.uk
First problem was that the dash cam was not working - ghostinstallations engineers came back out in no time at all and found the dash cam was not wired up correctly, not a big problem to resolve. happy with that so far...
Second problem was yesterday drove the van from home to the shops 3 miles away, went into the shops got back in the van and my van would not start at all.. Lights on dashboard where indicating a problem with the glow plugs and the glow plug light was flashing and the would not start at all. turned all off left it for 15 min and tired again... still no luck..
First thing i could think of is call the AA out and the chap start troubleshooting the battery which was good, he tired to plug the diagnostic computer in and the ghost blocked this and could not put the ghost immobiliser into service mode as we could not start the engine. So he disconnected the cable from battery and reset everything and got the van started once i punch in the ghost immobiliser code..
i guess this is a problem with the ghost immobiliser and not the van, so I called ghostinstallations.co.uk, they looked at some "data" at their end and could see the reset happened but they said the ghost immobiliser is not the issue.
I will see what happens from here on...

just gone onto the autowatch website and what i did appears to be a documented procedure for what must be a known issue:i experienced the same problem today with my Ghost 2. Disconnected and fully charged the battery, no change despite double flash of the ABS light. However, putting the Ghost2 into Valet mode the engine fired into life first time. Disabled Valet mode and engine started albeit with intermittent imob message still on the MFD.
ACT have not been very helpful. Tech team unreachable despite sales team trying to expedite help on my behalf.
Third time start up has not been clean. Going to get the damm thing removed before i am left stranded. Back to mechanical for me.

have reached out to Autowatch to see what they say. Have to say my confidence in the product is not great at the moment.just gone onto the autowatch website and what i did appears to be a documented procedure for what must be a known issue:
Process 1:
i didnt toggle the ignition 5 times though
- Switch on the ignition
- Enter your disarm sequence
- Wait for the 2 flash confirmation
- Press the service button 5 times to enter service / valet mode
- Wait for the 5 flash confirmation
- Switch off the ignition
- Toggle the ignition on and off (without trying to start) 5 times
- Start the engine
- If all is working now you can enter the disarm sequence to exit service / valet mode
how do you know that is the Ghost related fault codeVCDS does list that fault code but doesn't know much about it. A ghostly code obviously!

I don't but since the van wouldn't start and the glow plug light was flashing plus that was the only one that wouldn't clear it seems the most likely candidate.how do you know that is the Ghost related fault code
elementary dear WatsonI don't but since the van wouldn't start and the glow plug light was flashing plus that was the only one that wouldn't clear it seems the most likely candidate.
