Van-X Dash Upgrade.

I see they are back in stock now at van x.Anyone else bought the glove box and air vents?.Curious as to what people thought before i dive in..

Ok so I bought the Van-x T6 comfort dash glove box and have had it sat in the box while I source a light for it, with no success.

Decided to install it and it’s like having a bass drum in the van when there’s not a lot in but problem solved bit of silent coat and an off cut of carpet to line it should do the trick.

Now have to wait for can of spray glue to arrive as run out

Will add finished pics when done.

I am not at the moment as the hole is set for the usb plate to allow retention if you do,the full dash upgrade and 8 couldn’t find anything to fit the same size. What I will probably end up doing is installing one of the foot well LEDs with a small toggle.

Finally got 30mins to myself away from my 18month old grandson who wants to have a go at everything and got the upper glovebox in and carpeted.

It’s the van-x one they do a gloss version also I have had it for months just couldn’t get the time to,sort it out.

Can't really tell from the photo but did you just carpet over the hole in the glovebox?

I bought a gloss one and sent it back in exchange for the matte. The quality of the one i had is good in my opinion. They have a cut out if you wanna put a light in. Good idea to line it though.

I did yes and put a filler piece in there until I find the correct size light to install.

The quality is better than I thought it was going to be but the carpet and silent coat makes it better when bits and pieces are in side.

Just got mine... stripped it to be painted. Did the silent coat work to resolve the drumming? Is it worth doing before I put if in.

The silent coat definitely sorted the drumming out and it’s definitely worth doing before you install I also carpet lime mined.

I have fitted mine and moved the USB port into it. Unfortunately the port with the green plug is too deep and hits the centre air vent so it won’t fit flush in the glovebox
