Not a lot of difference . The main difference for me is that it is now a useable space whereas before it sat there empty .

perfect - the pictures on the vanx website just show the front piece with door. Does it use the existing cubby hole in the dash? I’ve not had a close look at mine but is the dash surround trim separate to the cubby hole?

Paynewright ; I think it’s all in one piece but I had mine supplied and fitted by a local company so never got to see the installation .

Can i ask whats that to the right of your gearstick?. I also wanna redirect my android auto. Have you had to drill the top dash near the power socket too?.

Yes had to drill a small hole to take the lead but makes it look a lot tidier . Beside the gear-lever is the remote control for my gates and garage door , I placed it there to cover the four blanks.

I have today tried to move the USB / AUX socket into the Van X glove box but have found that the cables are too deep for the socket to fit flush in the glovebox. The cables hit against the trim to the right of the glovebox. Has anyone successfully moved this socket and if so how was it done?

@Irvine101 did you get this resolved? I am considering doing the same. Is there a blank for the front hole that’s left?

The only way i could do this was to leave the usb port loose behind the dash. The usb charging cable is then left permanently plugged in and passed loose into the glovebox. Not ideal but it was the only way i could sort this.

I spoke to Van X but they were not helpful at all. They suggested they had sold hundreds of these gloveboxes without any issues being reported to them.

I used the blanking plate that came with glovebox to fill the gap in the dashboard.

Ok thanks for the update. I’ll have a look and see if my cable is exactly the same. If so I might just leave it as-is.

I got a leather mat made up for mine. Gave this eBay guy the Van-x glove box measurements. It fits great. Gazzkin was his seller name.
