Vossen Wheels

How about resale value on a downplated '32? Cheaper to trade it?

I'm beyond trading it - already sunk too much in :(

But as it would be sold with no VAT, and as a Day / proper SUV, fully trimmed with Leather and nicely lined out, I don't see why the resale would be less as a 30, you wouldn't want to buy it to stick a 1 Tonne pallett in any more than you would in a Velle?

My other thinking is that I could replate back up to a 32 it if it was an issue of the value, but I don't think it would be.

As I said, its a minefield of frustrations, some self inflicted.

Caravelle exc gross weight 3080 kg
Amarok gross weight 3080kg and they have 19" wheels not sure on offset and width
Yes, but not offered by VW for the T6. The rolling radius of an Amarok tyre is larger than a T6, so you would end up with low low profile tyres to keep the same gearing on a T6. Perhaps VW don't think such tyres are suitable OEM for a Van....... not sure???

No 19"'s available from VW for a T6
Are you really looking at different wheels? Springfields are a £1500 upgrade for a Vel

They are the Chrome finish wheels £2200 upgrade I believe it maybe that I blow the whole idea of doing anything to it, as safety would always be in the back of my mind when the family traveling in the back....

And very very nice as well
Springfield's look fantastic imo. I know as much as anyone the urge to 'upgrade' to bigger wheels (16" standard to 19") but probably wouldn't have bothered if my kombi sat as low as the Velle does and on those wheels.

I'm not sure I found a size guide of diameter and sidewall thickness of tyres so even a 17 to 18 OEM is not the same rolling circumference

235/55/17 radius 27.15 sidewall 4.6
255/45/18 radius 27 sidewall 4
275/40/19 radius 27.7 sidewall 4.3
275/40/20 radius 28.7 sidewall 4.3

Awesome, if only Germans could make vans as well as they play football!!!!
I have never seen that ad before either, how on earth are you remembering all of these?

The top 2 are T6 sizes, the bottom 2 are over sized. They may still fit, but they would increase the gearing and speedo reading of the van; and lift the vehicle slightly.
Plenty of people run over sized wheels, and are very happy with them; but I don't think VW would ever offer oversized wheels/tyres as an OEM option.

Brilliant, fond memories of when comedy was pure, and you could sit and watch it as a family without having to send the kids out of the room as the air had turned blue.

Just reading through my brochure of OEM VW accessories and it shows a 19" wheel with 255/55/19 8j !!! So that now changes things

Rolling circumference of a 20" with 40 profile is smaller so I'm now so confused that my speedo will be well out if I buy a genuine VW wheel that must be T32 rated

Anyone ???

Where are you seeing that ?
Are they defo for T6 as sometimes the catalogues cover more than one vehicle

Just so you know, I am running 245 45 19 tyres on my wheels which gives speedo reading spot on with gps.

They are 8j fitment

Have you got a picture please

Hawke wheels are rated at 805kg so legal on t32

If the rolling circumference is larger on 20" wheel does this mean my 0-60 will be quicker or slower and will my mpg go up or down !!!
I do know that I will have a bigger smile when it's sitting on the drive........

I'm sure the T6 mk2 will come home on 19" as option Are car wheels are getting bigger and bigger to get mpg up ?
