VSR to Ctek DC-DC

Also, the positive from the engine battery is untraceable beyond the bulkhead and I suspect it has been wired direct into the consumer unit, possibly with a change in wire colour. However, I am out of my depth with this one!

So, if still interested.... Managed to speak with the auto eltrician for Caledonian who was very helpful. He confirmed the cable containing green and brown wires is to provide a voltage indication to the control unit for the engine battery and advised to remove it and blank it.

He also said the Sargent unit doesn’t work well with the ctek and leaving this cable in place will work, but can cause inconsistent charging.

The orange light on ‘A‘ is still flashing but he advised to give the unit a chance to charge the battery on a good run and check the charge with a multimeter before investigating further.

Hopefully this will be of use to the next person using a Sargent and Ctek set up.
