VW Camper Conversion costs/ideas

Its just I've found a van thats cheaper than a panel van.

It would also mean the windows a VW factory.

We are going across next week, they didn't have anything worth seeing when i rang them the other day. They seem very professional.

Are you going 2 or 3 seats?

Fair point with the windows! I spent a good few months obsessively trawling for the right van before we got ours so you do need to weigh everything up.
We're going with a 2 seat rib in the back and the double swivel seat in the front. That will give us the bit extra storage/cupboard space we’ll need. Hope this helps.

Excellent, Im going for the same set up i think.

We are thinking of going to a place in Batley tomorrow to have a look at some.

I like their website, their costing are clearly laid out and they convert the van interior onsite. It is well worth renting a van to see what is essential and what isn’t. We went for swb against everyone’s advice and are happy with that. However if I had kids the lwb would have won. Good luck with it all, don’t worry about the waiting list as I would be more worried if they didn’t have one. Kombi is good as it meant we have factory fitted windows, we also have solar panel.

Do you need the extra seat in the front? A single captains chair would be more comfortable and, with just 2 seats up front, you have easy access from front to back - very useful for us as it provide extra accessible storage space when camping and we put our dog basket in the footwells.

Give Ady a call at Crystal Custom Campers in Leeds https://crystalcustomcampers.com
He does Hilo roofs mainly, hand-built furniture and has his own M1 tested slide rail system that is more affordable than reimo variotech / rib slider and also sits lower than those to compliment the hilo roof. No dangling feet :) understand their is a deal on for free scenic canvas, colour coded roof and chrome hinges if you book a hilo roof with him before 31 January. Also doing free propex system fitting with every slide system ordered. I am having mine done next month with him
There are several conversion types listed with basic costs and breakdown of what you get with each. But they often have deals on so worth asking :)
