Thanks - that's good to know! They sure did! Worked a charm! Got Goodyears on there as per Bognor motors reccomendation and the ACC issue went away immediately. Happy days.
Thanks all
Anybody with an interface capable to adjust Instrument Cluster coding can fix your problem. VCDS, OBDELEVEN, ODIS, VCP are just few to mention.I’ve just fitted 17” Black Rhino Warlords with BFG All-Terrain tyres to my 2021 T6.1 SWB Highline and my ACC now fails at some point during every journey (I haven’t worked out the parameters). The instrument cluster says “Front Sensor Impaired” and the ACC and front sensor fail lights show up in amber. I presume it is a wheel rotation speed and radar azimuth issue. Does anybody know if VW can recalibrate or anywhere in the Devon/Cornwall can do it?
Hiya pal. I’m having this exact same issue after I fitted the same wheel/tyre combo as you. Did you ever get this sorted. I use cruise control on the motorway and am running 20” wheels… no problemsMy understanding is that all speed and distance recordings are done off the wheel speed sensors. Providing that all the wheels have the same (give or take a bit for tyre wear) circumference, then all should be happy. A larger circumference will cause the speed sensors to under read against reality, but the van has no way of knowing what reality is. It bases its calculations on the information it receives. So if you set the CC at what the van believes to be 50mph, it has no reason to assume it's doing anything other than that.
Depends on the tyres.I use cruise control on the motorway and am running 20” wheels… no problems
Ah okDepends on the tyres.
I still have the ACC failure and VW (Carrs Van Centre, Exeter) say they won’t touch it. I’ve just learnt to live with it. The ACC works okay on the motorway but tends to fail on undulating A-roads.Hiya pal. I’m having this exact same issue after I fitted the same wheel/tyre combo as you. Did you ever get this sorted. Really? Seems strange given the van is only lifted very slightly?if radar move higher due to wheels , you need to new dataset to tell radar - you are higher
