Vw transporter T6 broken down and will not start

Ok, so the engine is mechanically sound.

Like @Craig B has said. You might need a better diagnostic machine. Seems strange there are no codes stored considering the coil light was on.

Is there any history of recent repairs or problems with the van?



It shouldn't be the immobiliser as that won't cause the engine to breakdown when it's running. Once running, you can throw the chipped key away

Yes last month I changed the EGR and cooler but was running fine for a full month.

Hi Kev, appreciate what you say about the key, but we always found it’s prudent to check and eliminate as you go along in any vehicle diagnostics issues.

@craigt6 you might have to bite the bullet here, and get a more in-depth diagnostics check on the bus.
