webasto/aux heater not working

hello, i have a problem with my 2016 t6, the webasto/aux-heater starts but after some minutes it stops. i have had diagnostics and it shows : B138E4B. Coolant temperature - excessesive temperature.
has anyone had similar problem before? thanks

Diesel or petrol?
Can you hear that heater's coolant pump is running?
Can you monitor with your diagnostics tool coolant temperatures in and around the heater?

Webasto doesn't work - Caravelle T6

Do you have any idea why it stops by itself? The cause is stored in fault codes (of controller 18-Aux. Heat)

Hi both,

I’m looking to retro fit and install one to my 2015 plate T5.1. Are these still heaters different from the T5.1 to T6 as my van has lots of t6 parts, must be a very later van. Are these still heaters part numbers different and the fitting bracket looks different on T5.1 and the T6, do they’re both fit?

Hi @Stephenmews have you bought a heater already? I will be taking one from a 5.1 caravelle exec in the near future if that is any good to you? It is a 2010 but can give you the part number once I get to it and you can check it out.

Not yet as I was trying to find the right one for 2015 t5.1. I’m looking for the heater, bracket, fuel pump, water pump, water pipes that go into the engine bay and cab control panel which sits in the over head light cluster. Appreciate any pictures of the heater and how it’s plumbed into the coolant system.
