owned a t5 before a 5 cyl. and now on a t5.1 4 motion. bi turbo.dsg.
T6 next time or if i see one i like for sale on here.
love these vans,
likes are build quality . van size. van looks. value retention. no gear stick on the floor. ( slide across the seats to exit a lot so i can exit any side ) which i do often. low floor access. durable. 4 motion i love as i don't get stuck now on wet grass anymore. loads of cool stuff you can bolt on if you wish.
dislikes. door slamming on tailgate and sliding . passengers dislike the female seat belt clip location.
so 9.5 out of 10 from me.
will have to take a good look at a T6.

Hi. Just signed up, we have a fleet of 7 T6's ranging from 2015 to 2020's (and two remaining T5's and an ageing Crafter). The 7 (all T32 LWBs) are made up of 1 x Kombi,, 1 x Caravelle and 5 vans. Just looking for info and advice on general repair procedures where we get stuck.

I placed my order earlier this week for my new company vehicle - T6.1 SWB (Panel van) 4Motion Highline DSG in pure grey.
I've run pick-ups (Amarok, Navara, Land Rover 110) and fancied a van to carry my trials bikes, emtb etc.
I've been quoted a potential 8 week lead time which I thought was very good, although it might be longer.
Added some extras - Diff lock, power latching tailgate and side door, Discover Media, LED headlamps, Hill start and descent mallarky and some other bits I've forgotten.
I've always fancied a Transporter and wanted to get one before the (joint with Ford) T7 so that it is more obviously the same genes as the marvellous T4's etc.
I could write what I know about Transporters on the back of a stamp and still have room for my address so I'm here to learn and get advice and have a look at what sort of things others have done with their Transporters.

That looks very very nice @Chris71, congratulations and welcome.... but you may be dissapointed.... as you don't need to change/upgrade/swap anything with that stunner!

Thanks for the add. Our T6 was delivered new with a side lift in 2016. They initially threw the spare inside but had assured me it would be placed where it should be . Photos of before and after exhaust adapted to refit spare wheel. Never missed a beat in past almost 5 years and as long as I trickle charge the battery in these lockdown times starts and drives as it did on day one.
