Welcome new members

hi guys and girls, seen on here queries about overhead storage on my t6.1 sportliner,on my t5.1 i used this space for my sunglasses, just forced out the cover as presumed it was just a plate, will be a knightmare getting it back in for sure as has to be done from the inside which means taking down the whole thing, wish i would have left it,now looking for something to put in there as the cables in there are for the sos call ect, remove at your peril unless you can source a small cover,im thinking the one of the t5.1 may go on there although will need cutting down, any ideas?t.i.a

Welcome squire.
I was in a similar quandary when I purchased mine, once I got it lowered I fell in love with the wheels.

Hi All,

Purchased yesterday my first Transporter. Overall very happy except big wheels.

Hi & welcome.

Not too keen on black wheels myself, but the "issue" with your wheels seems to be excessive poke - at least for my tastes. Hopefully you can palm them off sell them and replace with something more to your liking.

I am really keen on Momo Revenge 18s but anything with more rubber will do. Luclikly they were fitted when car was on 10k and now only 14k so hopefully not destroyed suspension too much.

Nice van and colour buddy - welcome :)
Thanks, yeah my old van was a T5.1 in midnight blue was a lush colour and then changed it for this one was dubious about black as I live out in the sticks but I have to say it’s a very rewarding colour if you look after it.

No sorry, it’s black probably my shoddy camera work making it look a different colour haha
Either way, looks mint :)
Got mine booked in with Bognor motors for the following mods: full sound deadening, speakers and subwoofer upgrade, lowering and wheel alignment at the end of this month. Thats the only upgrade i plan to for now. When the revo map is available, will be doing that also..

Thanks,

Sounds like you’ve got a good plan for what you’re after, it’s always good to have some idea of which direction you want to go in and what you’re after.

I’m off back to Paintworx in Loughborough to sort a few things out and tweek a couple of bits end of Feb.

Really want air ride doing next but house move is coming first so have to be restrained haha if that’s possible.

Your van will sound awesome with good sound deadening and speaker upgrades it does make a good difference.

Thank you and look forward to more pics when you do your mods..
For some unknown reason, looking at other peoples van mods is an interesting thing!. :think smile bounce:

Hi
First time VW owner and looking for help and support in converting my panel van into a kombi.
Can’t wait to start

Hi all, been an owner of a converted 2017 T6 for around 6 months and absolutely loving it. Came across my first problem a few days ago with an ABS and rear left speed sensor fault. The knowledge and info on this site is fantastic so I thought I must join up.

Sensor has been changed but fault still active, so todays job is checking the wiring. Wish me luck:)

Good luck ;)

Did you find that all your Transporter-related Google searches led to this forum? That was my experience and that's how I discovered this forum.
