Hi all, been lurking for a while now, our converter has sourced us a 2018 t6 which arrives this weekend, will pop into them to discuss conversion options, can’t wait, photo to follow first question, it’s a t30, factory fitted windows already, what head unit is standard on these ( if such a thing,) are reversing cameras compatible?

Hi Folks,
Just joined the forum after spending the last 15 months slowly converting my works van (a 2018 T6 T28 SWB) into a camper/day van.
If I had known about this place sooner I could probably have halved that time and saved myself an immeasurable amount of sleep, hair removal, bollok & arse scratching ! but its 85% there now and functional, just got a mountain of quality of life things to fix now.
If anyone is interested I might post some pics & specs.

Well 2 weeks into ownership, love the drive and practicality, but seem to have developed a quirk!
Infotainment unit is randomly restarting and today went off completely with the SOS Call Error contact workshop message
Threads on here and elsewhere seem to suggest a common issue and fixed with cable and unit swap out.
Have emailed Parkway to see what they say and politely reminded them tomorrow is last day of the 14-day no quibble exchange!

I am sure that you will very soon get used to the DSG box. I use my happy flapies to preselect on twisty roads but the box does a certain amount of self learning up to a point. My only complaint, which might not be just down to the DSG is the lack of decent engine braking. Downchanging several gears at a time does help a bit but most modern vehicles seem to expect drivers to use the brakes more and more over the years. At slow speed one could use down hill assist if they had a suitable 4Motion but mine came without that. I am waiting to book mine in for that. Other than that they are very good just doing its own thing.
