Hello all, im Leon, proud owner of a converted T6 camper van, currently touring through Morocco. Joined the community because (didnt know it even existed) and as a currently have an issue with the belt tensioner which was replaced locally but is playing up again.

Hi Leon Welcome to the T6 Forum, i do hope that someone can advise you and I am sure that they will. Great to hear that yo are travelling to far away places in your T6.

How are you getting on. The belt tensioner, is it causing problems, are you with a group of fellow travellers if things escalate?

I am at a very early stage right now, currently built the power pack (300Ah) to fit neatly under the driver seat with bms, heating pads and extra electronics. Placing wiring for the solar panels and designing the interior.

Hi everyone,
I don’t actually own a T6 yet, we’ve currently got a T4 Caravelle with a kombi bed in the back. The T4 is 25 years old now and I just don’t have the time to keep on top of the maintenance it deserves. We’ve all loved camping with the T4 but we could do with a little more space, so looking for a converted T6 with a pop-top, I’m here to do some research into what engines / gearbox to avoid etc.

I’ve promised my daughter we’ll do one more camping trip in the T4 this year so will be looking to get a T6 at the end of the season.

Hello RedWayne1965, The Caravelle is a fine vehicle I have a 4Motione I imagine that used Caravelle are rather thin on the ground. I guess looking on here , the internet and dealerships. Do you have specific plans for its use what sort of year, 2 or 4Motion. There is a section on here dedicated.

Hi All, time to introduce myself, this is my pride and joy - bought last December, slowly working my way through the last owners bodges and making it more personal to me. As my last VW ownership was in the late 80's/early 90's when I owned a T2 bay window and '69 bug I'll probably be asking lots of questions along the way (sorry!)
