For Sale Welcome/ Puddle Light Kits

Anyone here near (ish) to Hampshire that could
Fit them for me for a few? I can come to you within a reasonable distance
I live in Poole and will gladly help you if you need 1 Saturday, providing its dry as I do not have a garage.

@saxoboy, my puddle lights were waiting for me when i arived home from Shetland today. Many thanks again, but i will add them to the to-do list, along with fitting forward and rear Dashcams, bluetooth battery monitors etc....:)

Mine have arrived too, will get them fitted to the new door cards soon along with the door pocket ambient lighting. Lots to do and not enough time!...

When it stops raining and blowing a gale I can start the dozen or so jobs I've bought stuff for... These are about to add to the list!

I’m just fitting these lights now. For the red/white wire under the window motor, is it the thicker red/white wire? There is a much smaller white/red wire in the same bunch. Does anyone know which I need to connect to?

I’m doing the same. Connected to the thicker wire but the are not working so thinking not. Although I’m not confident on the t tap making a good connection. I need help lol

I’m guessing the thicker wire is to power the window motor which is why I didn’t want to connect in to it!

the smaller white wire with a red stripe looks more like a signalling wire, but does anyone who has done this actually know?

Hi @Broadside its Matt....its defo the thick red/ white wire.

Hi @Jongall ...you must make sure when you use the T Taps that the spade connector actually connects to the metal from the other part of the connection..sometimes the connector goes on all the way, but the spade connector slips down the side....this happens quite often, please don't give up....

Nice one Matt, thanks for the quick reply!

They have come up a treat, thanks for the kit and directions @saxoboy

I cut the door cards out with a new Stanley knife blade, that was a top tip further up the thread. The door card plastic is pretty soft and it made it quite a simple job.

Fitted one door of mine today (didn’t have enough time to do both), couldn’t have been simpler. Great instructions. The hardest bit was cutting the hole in the bottom of the door card. 1DD9CEB0-9B88-4228-B09B-B59609BD2B90.jpeg

Before I fit mine, how do you know which way around they go?

You will have to cut out a rectangle from the bottom of the door card as per the instructions that come in the kit. When you power the lights it will become obvious, but you basically put the feed side of the lights out towards the door opening and that puts the logo the right way up. Don’t over think it, follow the instructions and it will all come together.

Already started to overthink it! :p
And mine are going in a car with an existing courtesy light!
The red connector already doesn't go into the projector connector... If it sticks, force it!

It doesn’t matter which way round you install them. You can adjust the way they display with the little tab on the side of the projector in the picture below. To adjust the way the light appears on the floor you can turn this. It spins the whole projector round and will push through at the top to the other side, sooo if you have an upside down logo, just pop the light out and adjust it. Better still plug it in before inserting it into the door panel and test/adjust before closing it up
