What’s my Kombi worth?

Hi all. I may be looking at selling my late Dad’s T6 highline kombi and I wondered if any of you guys could give me any ideas of price? It’s a 66 reg Swb in Mojave beige. It’s done 59k and is immaculate. It’s got the usual highline spec plus satnav, led lights, single power slide door and soft close tailgate. The extras he’s had put on are swivel seat base for the passenger seat, insulated and carpeted, window and cab curtains and genuine air ride. All extras have been professionally fitted. His business owns the vehicle so VAT has to be added unfortunately. It’s the extras the I’m struggling to decide on what price to advertise it. He used it mainly to travel to his holiday home in Portugal. If I didn’t have a transporter, I’d buy it! Many thanks!

Sorry to hear about your father. We could help you value it and would be a potential buyer of it too.

Sorry for your loss.

Sounds like a nice desirable van. I'm in York too if you want a face to face chat and compare it with mine.....

I agree with Callakn, looking at similar Combi vans on Autotrader, I'd go with £21k and then be prepared to drop a grand in negotiation.

I’m possibly looking at selling/trading my van, on my way home tonight I decided to stop in the local VW centre to get an idea on price. Van details are:

Registered March 2021
Pure Grey
SWB
T32 Highline
199 DSG Kombi
42000 miles
LV front bumper and splitter
Rear Spoiler
Factory tinted windows to rear
Captains Seats in front
OEM Rubber Floor
Black spoked alloys (not sure what they are as were on when I bought van)
Ovano switch XL

They said £25,000 plus a bit of spare change. I know they are probably offering trade but still surely this is low?? Any opinions gratefully received!

VW will never offer You anything near what it's worth on the second hand market.

They are always low trade prices.

If you decide to sell, your have to weigh up the hassle of selling private versus the price you want.

Totally agree @Dellmassive for some potentially valid reasons people would not buy private for the trade in price but happily then pay 10k more on the forecourts. Does seem low....
