I am not inclined to listen to the “pub trade” whinging! I just ordered a substantial “take away” from our local. Rocked up 15 mins early to collect with the aim to have a “cheeky pint” while waiting! Not a hope! I could only have a pint while sitting down for a meal!

Excuse me! We live in the sticks and we support our local through the dark winter nights...!

Ah, sad, but they're just obeying the laws laid down by government, otherwise they get a £10K fine and lose their licence. (I'm staying off politics!)
I've found my local pubs to be very accommodating and understanding of my business associates slow eating fast drinking habits during our business meetings this last few evenings.
