What Coffee Machine do you have in your van?

One of these for me (well, two actually, I have one in the house too). This one lives in the van in camping season along with a milk frother. All powered off my EcoFlow River 2 pro. I don’t do that tea stuff some of you speak of and the lovely Mrs Davison doesn’t drink coffee. :)

Those with inverters. What Ah leisure do you have. I have the 100ah lithium. If I was to make her day and get her Nespresso working in the van off grid would it be up to the job for a couple of cups in a morning?

Could be an expensive coffee this!
You'll need a 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter, (presuming the coffee machine is rated between 1300 and 1500 watts) usually seen coupled with a 200/230Ah LB.
If you bring an extension lead I'll happily lend you some free electricity!

I've got a 200Ah battery. Isn't that OutIn a battery powered beastie though? 3 cups per charge? You'll be fine!

Nespresso Vertuo for me as we have one in the house so don't need separate pods.
Running off a Clayton LPS
Yet to buy a coffee machine but the better half wants one and I too, am running a Clayton LPS. How much power does it take from the battery if you weren't on EHU?

I reckon I use about 5/6% of my 200Ah per cup, I remember my Mrs filling up our induction kettle to boil on the induction hob which lost 12% of the available capacity! Not great on that trip when we found the solar panel had died!

I had to check mine (1300 watts according to spec) with a voltage checker device, it hits a max of 1530 Watts and does make my 2000 watt pure sine wave invertor grumble for some reason. Works happily though.
What voltage checker are you using Wayne? Got a link?

BTW, invertors are surge-rated significantly higher than their constant rating, so a 2KW one should handle a peak draw of 1530W with ease. I was surprised to find out that my 3KW one is surge-rated to 6KW. o_O

I'll have a look when I'm back home, but I am more than happy to send you mine, in an act of South/North reciprocal generosity! It was an Amazon recommended one for about £15. I used it once for my coffee machine. I have to go to the post office on Thursday with my T31 membership application forms for the DVLA!

Reciprocation requires an exchange of some sort, be that ££, beer, tea... or even coffee ;)

How about we cut out the PO/RM middlemen and exchange at Bala?
