thinking about this. It is the perfect toolbox for a breakdown. You just make yourself a coffee while you wait for the AA or RAC to come and fix the problem

Are there any really compact coffee machines that will still make a full size cup?
Space is always a premium in my van, finding one that's small enough to fit in a storage cubby would be great!
At present if I want a cup, the fastest way is to get the jetboil out, fill that and let it boil, etc.
Now I have a 2000w inverter it'd be nice to be able to knock out a cup quickly when I'm at a parkup and just need a coffee before moving on!

An Aeropress Go and a small travel kettle? If you get lucky the Go might fit in the kettle...
Yeah that's also an option, I was hoping something might exist that also creates little steam and is nice and easy to do when I'm half asleep having just woken up, and don't want to advertise that there's someone in the van

I keep a stainless steel thermos in the kitchen pod so if I know I need a quick brew I can stash hot water from the motel or where I can have the gas stove out.
I might be black balled from the coffee club but in those situations I normally boot my brain with a decent stick of instant coffee so I'm awake enough to make a coffee I enjoy
Yeah tbh I'm going to be picking up an induction hob anyway so I think induction, a kettle and instant coffee will be fine - it's just when I need a hit of caffeine before I can actually start to function.

I'm sure my Mrs would enjoy it! Macchiato apparently means 'stained coffee'! It certainly will be!

After the Dellonghi bean to cup packed up we got this Phillips as a replacement.

But after 4yrears this happened on Xmas eve...

The ceramic grinder discs collapsed.
Kinda a consumable part... And we loved it so much.
We decided to get the newer model.

I've got a replacement set of ceramic grinder discs ordered so will be replacing
Them and get the other one working again.

Well Santa came up trumps this year with this nice very well engineered manual grinder, with a folding handle, to go with my Aeropress.Thinking of going down the 'bean' route....does anyone have any recommendations for a manual grinder?
