What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Collected the van from the garage today.
They did the following for me:
Fitted front parking sensors
Fitted rear parking camera
Fitted front spoiler
Fitted orange trim to front end (I’ll be adding some more orange highlights over the next few weeks)
Sound proofed, insulated and carpet lined the interior
Fitted leisure battery and battery to battery charger (CTEK 250SE)
Installed LED lighting to rear
Installed LED lighting in tailgate
Rewired dashcam so it is fed from leisure battery (for parking mode)
Installed 12v socket and 2xUSB charging sockets
Installed battery meter for leisure battery
Installed rear speakers
Installed rear ambient lighting. This works on the ambient circuit with the lights and separately on a switch when parked up off the leisure battery
Coded the sensors, the camera and the fader. The fader is very cool.

Wheels, suspension and headlights next.

Hi Loz, that looks good. How easy did you find fitting the side mouldings? Did you use just the double sided tape or did you use the adhesive also?
My main worry about doing it is getting them perfectly aligned as the tape can't be adjusted once contact with the body work is made.

Washed ( 2 bucket method) tar spots removed, clay bar, waxed and topped with detailing spray to get rid of any water spots. Was going to machine polish but didn't have any DA pads.

Had to do the front logo. Had a bit of vinyl from an aborted attempt to put some stripes on the side. Thought I’d put it to use, it’s not perfect as there are a couple of small bubbles but you have to be close to see them. It’ll do for now

looks ace!!
did you spray the strips in the grill as well?? (saw you'd sprayed the badge)
Cheers!

Yes sprayed the 2 chrome strips on the highline grill too, rest of the grill has just been finished with the autobrite

De-badged half of the rear, but got out voted by the wife and kids in keeping the Transporter badge.

I took the top console out for some mods, trimmed my roof panels too, hope to have it all done tomorrow.

The badge comes off super easy with trim tools, the chrome strips are a bit more fiddly, take the 3 clips and 1 screw out the top of the grill where its fastens to the cross member, it's really flexible so you can get your hand inside to help with the clips .

Then using a trim tool slowly ease the strip off from the headlight end nice and gently. Top tip, get the Mrs and her hair dryer to heat it up constantly while you work it, helps stop breaking clips in this weather and it stops your fingers freezing off :D
