What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Looks awesome.

That would look great with my red dash.

Easy to fit?

Wired in a couple of links between my rear (v.6.1 led) light clusters so I now have dual fog and reverse lights. Small potatoes compared to some of the jobs I've seen on here, but satisfying. Thanks to @Pauly for the wiring.

Yes mate, easier than I thought it’d be: Top cowling off, engine on and unclip the airbag, engine off and key out before you pull airbag out and undo the two clips, then mark up the boss and undo the spline. Fit the new one in reverse and Bob’s your uncle.

Ah you had it custom done. MaybethatS an idea.
Yeah as you can see, the wheel I bought was flat, so I never asked whether they flatten them. But I think they do their wheels with a jig and a mould, so should be able to reshape them. They’re on WhatsApp and reply fairly promptly without all the sales pressure, if you’re keen. Cost me £240 + VAT.

Today and last weekend:

1st obligatory mod (I think it's a condition of forum membership?) - dash rubber, but not before i'd lost a playmobil wine glass down there!

Team Heko wind deflectors (all easy stuff so far!)

A customised mat.......

After the first night camped on the driveway - extra poppers on the blackout curtains to seal the gaps (my wife this time)

Bit more effort for this one - Sparesaver spare wheel protector, took a while to get the old bolt off.

This weekend, having confirmed how little storage we have (more on that another day), Kiravans barn door storage, via Amazon for a few quid cheaper. After taking off carpeted ply, and after then after install:

(Sheep's wool insulation, for those wondering!)

And the other side, just to match:

Noticed on the first one as I was banging in the clips, they were all in different directions, so was careful with the second set to get them lined up with the panel, and then managed to rotate the first set.

Finally, another annoying VW abyss to fill:

Unfortunately only two were in stock, so will get some more at a later date when postage is covered by something else.

There's always something else!

Straightened up the steering wheel. Not really sure what I did to send it off centre when I swapped out the suspension. I do think a flat bottomed steering wheel is an option now, especially after seeing @Ads_Essex steering wheel!

This morning I waxed the van.

It went to the dealer yesterday for an Interim Service. There were clear written instructions "Do not wash the van", so of course ... they washed it and left water drying marks all over the previously shiny van.

I've got an Atera Strada DL 3 to 4 tow bar mounted rack and it's very good. It slides away from the car with the bikes in place to allow you to open the boot. However, this is on my Merc and I don't have my tailgated t30 yet to see if it will work with that.
If I remember correctly this is the tow bar rack that folds down nicely and is supposed to be very good but I do like Thule and was considering getting the easybase to use for bikes (before buying the above) and a box.

Makes me sick when I see some dealers cleaning motors with sponges and jet wash brushes......
I leave 3 laminated sheets in the Van/Car when it gets serviced. One in the dash that everyone can read fro outside. One on the seat that has to be moved and one on the dash covering the clocks.
It states that by no means will the Car /Van be washed by anyone but myself.
Hasn't failed so far
