What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Today has been the culmination of a spending spree

Sidebars added, Heko wind deflectors, tail spoiler being painted (due pick up on Friday) and today fitted the shorty mud flaps.

Next up is the bonnet protection graphic, rear window tints, reversing camera install and a gloss black splitter.

Just reused old floor tie downs and repurposed them as additional tie downs using original seat belt anchor points on wheel arch ( if you carpet your wheel arches remember to put a rubber blank in )
I’ve use original bottom seat belt anchor bolts Pt No N98952001 so it’s all neat

Picked our barn door spoilers up this afternoon. Had them spray painted to match the van.

I know the preference is to use bonding seal. Anybody done both ? As in screws and bonding seal? Tempted just to use one of the screws on each of the parts then bond it.

Be careful there indium Grey.......best colour ...top choice

Not been around for a while, hardly recognise the place, someone has been and applied a skilful lick of paint! Haven’t been completely idle vanwise though, here’s a summary of what I’ve done since last here, though some of this might have been back end of last year.

6.1 rear lights. Very happy with these.

3000W Inverter mounted between front seats for coffee machine

Did the Traction control and Hill Descent mod. While I was at it, labelled my other switches too.

Playing around using Fusion 360 and an Ender 3 Pro I got for xmas. Love doing this and have made all sorts of brackets and enclosures for various van and electronic projects. I use the roof cubby to keep a first aid etc kit, so printed a cover to go on it.

Like many on here with solar, I get a bit obsessed with the performance and stats, but I find connecting the Victron app via bluetooth every time I want a quick look a bit irritating. I tried Victron’s own app running on a Pi, but it doesn’t give much useful information unless all your kit is Victron, and I didn’t like the Fisher Price onscreen design, so I knocked up a unit with an Arduino Mega and screen that gives a no nonsense read out of the stats I want and printed a case to put it in. Attached it behind the B pillar and it gives me exactly what I want to know.

And that's where I'm up to now. No plans to do anything else or go anywhere at the moment, but hopfully there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope you're all well and life's been kind to you over the last few months.

He’s back! Glad to see you’re alive and kicking.
Cracking mods. Looks smart.

love the tool hanger on the rear view mirror, just the job for when you’re working inside the van :think smile bounce:
