What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I looked at other tyres but settled for Michelin Cross Climates again. The Agilis Cross Climates look a lot beefier than my last ones, almost swamper like. The van felt more secure on the wet roundabouts coming home than with the Hankooks that were on it previously.

I‘ve got Cross Climates on my Audi and they’re great - a set might be finding their way to the T6 as well at some point but I’m also considering the Agilis. In my opinion, you would be better off wrapping some big rubber bands around the rims than using those Hankooks if they’re the same ones I had on the Claytons before I changed wheels.

Reactions: KR.
Installed the Vibe optisound speaker upgrade kit today, the tweater needed to be hot glued into the a post trim which was quite easy. The crossover I installed in the door and fed the wires through the door rubber. The original speakers needed to be drilled out and I used tiger seal and pop rivets to put the new speaker housing in. The sound improvement is truly amazing though I do also have the vibe plug and play amp. 20201010_150448.jpg20201010_150515.jpg20201010_150527.jpg

I’ve not done much to the van recently. I think the last time I posted on here it was just because I’d cleaned it! Well here we go again!!59147127-C71D-40FF-83B3-90941A8A7A02.jpeg
clean again and this time with @Sabre’s suggestion of wax as a special treat before winter

While it’s clean though I decided to have a go at adding the seal between the rear window and sliding door to hide to gap. I bought the Cali or kombi OEM one but that sticks on the front of the sliding door window and so didn’t really give the effect I wanted so instead I bought a S shaped seal from eBay to stick to the back. Not easy to stick especially in these temps but it’s on for now (no chance I will get the other side on though)

That's better! You'd think all these conversion companies would do it for the couple of quid it costs!

Do you think you could feed a longer than needed piece through the other side, then peel the tape with it in there?

My conversion company could concentrate on getting the gaps straight between the windows first!

I need to wait until it gets warmer again I think to do the other side but that’s how I did the near side but with the door open.

And of course I should thank you for helping me spend another £20

Using templates I made a start on some Silent Coat soundproofing and Dodo Thermoliner insulation.

I’ve fitted inner arch covers as I won’t be carpet lining and I didn’t like the idea of external Silent Coat.
