Not sure what these are going for in the UK at the mo but I was very happy to hand over $350 (about 200 quid!) here in Aus as they’re like hen’s teeth over here and stealers want $2000!

Very nice. Would you mind letteing me know how long it took and cost please?

No problem , it was £150
I went to them and he had a genuine wheel ready trimmed and just swapped all the buttons and airbag Ect. Took him about 15 mins to fit.

Took a couple of weeks from point of order .
They do a postal service aswell if needed .

Had interior LED bulb upgrade - both map reading lights, front courtesy light (between the map readers) and both sliding door foot step lights.

Hadn't even thought of this. Just one of those little things you 'learn' from forums on your ownership journey . They are a brighter whiter light than whatever the standard bulbs are. Apart from more light, I also got something unexpected. The colour of the bulbs gives a more 'expensive' finished cabin look when on. LED interior lights must be standard on luxury cars but not on 'commercials' I guess is the reason. A nice little change IMO.

I also had a couple of VCDS options. Tailgate auto close (in addition to the existing open) on pressing the key fob tailgate button. Plus, auto central lock on reaching 15kmh. It was also recommended that if you go for this, you should have auto central unlock when you switch off at park .... very good advice, as a car driver you'd assume that would happen if you activate drive-away-central lock. Apparently it doesn't, so without the correct coding you'd have to be unlocking the other doors when you get out.

All done by @BognorMotors who, yet again, seem to know everything about everything Transporter. Usual great service and customer experience there .... which this time extended to a 1kg tin of Quality Street selection with the coffee. I tried not to obviously 'chain' the Quality Street :laugh::laugh:

I did the same with changing the LEDS interior lights. As you say does give a luxury feel. This is something I do get frustrated with tho. I recently had a 68 plate caddy highline, all with LED interior lights as standard and sat nav as standard, so why is it we pay a lot more for our T6s but get less equipment as standard as say compared to the caddy ?
Rant over :confused::rolleyes:

Have you not changed your digital speed to the large MPH?

I know that seems to be the 'big one' as far as VCDS changes go but for me, it's not particularly useful. If anything, I'd like a large KPH one. I've got an MPH dial which is fine in the UK and Nav over Connect shows GPS speed as well. So, the large KPH display would be a nice easy quick glance for me on Euro tours where I do most of my mileage.

I agree about the euro trip aspect, I really miss my large digital speedo when in Europe
