What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

It's lasted a year in the south of France without too much damage, good going for here. Fingers crossed its just cosmetic.
Exactly what I was thinking, that’s pretty much standard condition from what I’ve seen in French cities! Good luck with the repairs, make sure you check the tailgate is water tight before accepting the repair.

Fitted replacement wind deflectors, fitted sunglasses holder and had a service at the local stealers.

@bully1808. The looks good. Would it be possible to give a description of what's involved in taking out the old one and fitting the new please?. Cheers.

yeah sure, plenty of YouTube vids and advice on here but my take below...
Pull off side panel of dash using trim tool and disconnect airbag plug.
trim tool to under left most air vent until it pops off, takes some doing but will eventually pop off.
Three torx screws under glove box and another 4 inside then pull glove box out.
Further one torx screw up in dash holding upper glove box in place.
Trim tool behind trim around left air vent next to stereo until this also pops out.
Trim tool behind upper dash along left side and top until this pops out.
Remove metal clip on bottom and fit to new glove box.
Fitting new one in reverse of above.
Took about 20mins in total.
Take your time with trim tool and be careful not to push / pull too hard in case you break something.

Today.

De-chromed the front end (grille strips, DRL strips and lower grille)
Fitted rusty lee single passenger swivel

Tomorrow
Remove rusty lee single passenger swivel and replace with existing BEBB swivel safe job (RL sits too high for SWMBO)
Fit front splitter
Attempt rear ARB bolt repair
Wash it?

Spent all day templating the floor ready to cut a one piece floor tomorrow. Real PITA, went through half a dozen Stanley knife blades, don't know what this cardboard is made of, but blades just turned to cheese

Also known as a very busy day, nice one. Love the wheels a lot.

Fitted the engine cover & the t5.1 battery cover to tidy the engine bay. Checked the threads on here, which, as usual, really helped.
I did manage to buy the wrong battery cover at my first attempt. I'm sure I will find a use for it!!!View attachment 109115
Nice one, makes the engine bay look so much tidier.

Washed Floyd, removed all the rust particles, Floyd was temporarily pink with rust signs, dried with my heated blower dryer, cut the paint with my DA then coated with Turtle Hybrid Solution Ceramic wax. Within minutes of finishing the heavens opened and the line on the turtle spray bottle “Insane beading” proved to be very true.

It’s better than my ceramic coated Q5. o_O

Snap me too lol that and standing at the back of the van the engine looks great
I do miss opening the bonnet and seeing a proper rocker cover or two. v6/8 owners will appreciate the two statement.
