Did it with grille in place didn't remove anything.
They are indeed, Kiravan’s blackouts. Yeah it’s on the plastic; I went steady when drilling but didn’t hit anything. I just positioned where the stud wanted to go.Hi there,
Those look like the blackout option from Kiravans as just fitting the same in mine. On the sliding door appears that you have fitted the bottom right curtain press stud on to the plastic housing. Is that correct as I was a little concerned about drilling that in case something behind ? Do you have a closer picture ?
ThanksThey are indeed, Kiravan’s blackouts. Yeah it’s on the plastic; I went steady when drilling but didn’t hit anything. I just positioned where the stud wanted to go.
I’ll send a close up later.
It’s that bloomin PortaPotti taking up so much space!Packed it to the rafters ready for our Cornwall road trip starting tomorrow. Seriously got to cut down on stuff!
Well yes, plus the plethora of awnings just in caseIt’s that bloomin PortaPotti taking up so much space!
Fitted a giant roof rack. With a built-in bottle opener. And a ladder so I can climb up and sunbathe ... or something.

(also; ordered some new "mini-swamper" tyres and booked the wheels in to get refinished in satin black ... 'cos I'm too lazy to clean off the brake dust)

Looks like a Front runner expedition rack and ladder to me. They are widely available but I’ve ordered stuff direct from them in Germany and it’s only taken a weekNice roof rack, are you in the uk? If so, where did you get it??
Crude? That’s a neat solution. Must have a look at mine again
Well done for sticking at itTowbar finally fitted. Proud of the job I’ve done but far more effort than I expected.
If any relatively inexperienced folks want to ask questions, let me know. I’ve learned a lot and would do the job in 1/3 the time now.
Mine is a Westfalia towbar with a 7-pin vehicle specific loom, with no vehicle prep.
Now to remove the flippin’ Ghost immobiliser that decided to not play nice with the towbar electrics.

Looks great well done, do you have anything to atop it sliding forward if you had to break heavy?
Have you thought about doing the wheel arches? I had the ply covers off today for a drive and realised how noisy they are! It’s on my list.Stripped the rear out for some much needed sound deadening and a bit of insulation while I’ve got the panels off.
