What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Repost of the Alpine tweeters, don’t ask - it’s a long story . Also, I did a full install in the end, 6 channel amp, 12” sub, component door speakers, rear speakers, all of which is hidden away out of sight. I might do a thread on the whole thing as I struggled to find info on some of the things I had to figure out myself, like mounting the amp under the drivers seat, running the power easily from the battery to the amp, finding factory earth points that can be used etc etc.

Oh oh oh oh I like them, any chance of a link. I see the next project on the horizon. Cheers @Brindle

Probably a dull question, but why not mount it on the shaded part on the windscreen with the lens just below? It would be less conspicuous and you'd have less dangling wire.
I agree, odd that a dashcam has a legal position but other dangly stuff doesn’t appear to.

That’s where it’s recommended to be placed…. to the left of the rear view mirror and where the the wipers clear the screen. It might look low but I think that’s just the picture?

Nice, did you do that yourself?
No I got a tint company to do it as I wanted it done well.

The chap who did it spent nearly two hours fitting it. He created a template on the outside of the screen first, then he used that to create the inner tint, placed it on the outside of the screen, shrunk it to shape then fitted it to the inside of the screen.
Made it look easy but no way I was going to try it.

Alright, I think I read somewhere that someone was having a problem sticking it to that bit. Don't know why but think that was in my mind when I wad placing it lol can be moved if needed.

Do you use anything to hold your step mats down? I’ve got the same ones and they are forever falling out, well the Missus side is, I don’t use the step personally. Had to drive back to the Vets the other week to retrieve it from the car park.

Hi, how did you measure where to drill? I just got my leighton spoiler but i won’t glue it so i will drill it like you did...
i got the foam pad but don’t really understand how to do it
Hi, I used the missus lipstick (no chance she’s reading this so I’m safe still) and covered the circle round the inset nut, then placed the spoiler in the van, the lipstick transferred to the van and marked where I needed to drill. Worked a treat and officially I have no idea who had been in the make up drawer
