What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Depth wise, ie towards the windscreen....the ambient light cluster conflicts with it.
Yeah, I was planning to cut the connector on the board and rotate it 90° so did you cut a hole in it or do a cut-n-shut and shorten the whole thing?

No, didn't want to risk damaging the light so basically cut the end off the 'box' including the 2 prongs. Made a soft end with carpet and some draught excluder. Will be fixing it in with sticky velcro eventually. Plan is to find a perfect fit clock/weather station to mount in it, battery powered.

Had a few weeks off (not through choice!) so did a few bits.
Fitted Folding mirrors and finished the sequential indicators off and added small led lights to the mirrors.

Mirrors were carbon dipped before fitting.

Fitted a usb outlet and switch for the multi behind the dash.

Fitted a second alarm indicator on the passenger door for the sake of it and changed both led's to blue for a better effect.

@Alan Walsh - Did you have to run cable from the drivers door alarm indicator, or is there suitable cabling in the passenger door.
I have purchased the stuff to do this mod, courtesy of @Spaghetti info. Looking to complete in the next couple of days/weeks.

Thursday saw a new CTEK D250 and a gel leisure battery, along with fuse box and general tidying up installed by Absolute5.
Thanks @Absolut5 awesome job.
And I'm still envious of the Mk4 Golf V6. Lovely machine.
Yesterday I made a 300 mile trip to visit @Absolut5, we’ll all I can say…is that Jason and Noel are extremely knowledgeable, lovely guys. I had one of their signature installs done and what a blast it is, the sound quality and the difference it’s made is phenomenal, I can’t believe the difference it’s made. If your even considering it… do it and deffo go to these guys they 100% know what that’s talking about. They also fitted a westfalia tow bar for me as well, Jason explained everything and done a fantastic job in a short amount of time, What I would like to call “stealth” in and out and you wouldn’t even know. I couldn’t recommend @Absolut5 enough, they are the go to guys
Cheers guys, really appreciate you using our services

Hi @Stuiemc, no need to cut the biscuits, just get used to eating them whole.
Haha I’ve got to disagree! There was a lip where the two pieces join and after they sit completely flush with each other. Well worth the extra 20 mins it took to put them in. I’m fitting a Karndean parquet floor so don’t want to run the risk of the floor flexing at the join.04D5C42D-9DB0-4E18-8C69-D20878D5233C.jpeg

That does seem to be the best outcome.
I fitted a floor in my van this summer using 10’x5’ 12 mm phenolic plywood and am also very happy. Just finished making wheel arch boxes with storage space through a lift up lid. Can post a photo if your interested. It’s a panel van though, not used for camping etc

Yeah I’d love to see it, lucky guy finding a sheet of 10x5” I couldn’t for the life of me find a local supplier that stocked them! I’ve put a photo in my last comment that showed the lip before the rich teas

I will upload some photos by the weekend.
Luckily I found the 10x5 at a trailer parts dealer local to me.
