What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Today I’ve finished the install of diesel heater inside the van I’ve connected the hot air ducts to front and rear and I’ve wrapped the ducts in exhaust wrap to protect my Sterling B to B charger and wiring.
I’ve mounted the programmer under the drivers side passenger window fitted the seat and swivel back in the van.
Just remains for the tank connection and underbody panels to be put back.

John.

@Saffa365 I installed my DCC50 unde my seat also. On the advice of a poster on another thread, I mounted the unit upright not horizontal. This allows air to vent through the heat sink on the rear. I faced the panel out towards the front of the vehicle so I can see the lights under the front of the seat, if I need to. Looks like a nice neat install, but I didn't add any heat proof take to my vents. Can I ask what you used please?

That would of been my preferred way but I’ve got the diesel heater inlet down there , I may have a play around next week and see what I can do

Seen some reports suggesting that snow socks are not accepted as an alternative to snow chains by some French police in the Alps….how true that is? Hopefully I will never need to use the chains but have them as required etc
Used to be this way a long time ago. They are now good to use. They even say on them that they are passed by France etc.

Fitted the XT60 plug to the ignition live feed for the Ecoflow Delta Mini - instead of using their supplied cigarette socket plug in charger.

So far, every time I have tested it there is a charge registering on the display

I wonder if the sub zero temps were hampering charging as the built in BMS has a low and a high temp cut off where it doesn’t charge. When I brought the unit inside after it was in the van overnight with a frost, the display showed an icon that, according to the manual, meant the temp was too low to charge.

Also, fitted the replacement, for the replacement, DRL LEDs from Travelinlite - a new design with a fan now - the original set and the replacement set both started flickering within a couple of months each time. Can’t fault their aftersales though

Resisted the temptation to wash the van despite it being minging as the minute it sets foot off the driveway it will be filthy again…
