What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Fitted some PPF to the pop top for under the flexible solar panel and also fitted the cable entry glad (Scanstrut). Thankfully the drilling through the pop top went fine and is in the right place - phew! Plugged the panel in to test and was getting just over 200w (250w panel) in the sun with the panel just laying on the roof. Very happy with that. Now trying to decide what to use to mount the panel - one of the various types of VHB tape or Sikaflex.

Not today, but over the last couple of weeks, and a considerable number of hours, a kombi bed system, now tried and tested on 4 trips, and delighted with results. Using Forty Winks premium mattress it is ultra comfy. I had no desire to include bulkhead, and this arrangement allows valuable additional storage to sides of uprights (enough for 2 off compact camping chairs, gripmats, S+S awning, Jackery, straps etc. Many calculations were performed to maximise internal drawer size (110.8cm width, and 139.1cm deep which is considerably larger than the main kombi bed systems on the market). Furthermore, the linear holes allow for many fixing options for camping paraphernalia. Just a couple of finishing bits to finish (tops to sides and umbrella storage to rear). Just deliberating whether we downsize from 55L compressor fridge to 45L so fits in drawer.

That's the next thing on my list - time to get a Carista and change a few bits  needle sweep, and big mph on the MFD.

Any other recommended changes?
Not sure which generation you have but I've found Scandinavian DRL (so the rear are on just in case) and DRL off on handbrake very useful alongside other suggestions. I've also removed the door open ignition alarm. (OBD11 on a T6.1)
