The steering felt noticeably lighter in the 6.1, getting back into mine, it's heavier but definitely a bit more feel.

I sat in a 6.1 highline DSG in the showroom and I could live with that - tbh with the bulkhead (my seat was pushed right against it - could have done with more room) and the congested pedal area in the manual startline, it just felt very cramped.

Good shout - but for some reason they say "NOT" for steel wheels, and they still want you to glue the cap on!
Although, thinking about it, maybe not so terrible as all the bolt caps will be in one place
 
Fitted a plug in loom for my new smart charger. I got my best hammers out and before I knew it the loom was fitted and the business end poking discreetly through a gap in the lower grille. Vanny McVanface is now on the driveway greedily supping an inexhaustible supply of free range electrons.
 
Stripped out some of the interior seating and a bit of roof trim after I found the seating in the rear corner was soaking.

Anyway, water traced back to where the solar cables come through the pop top frame. Looks like jet washing forced water under the pop top roof.
Must have messed the sealant up when I redid the cables to fit the Victron mppt.
Reseal when this storm passes and hopefully that’ll be the end of it.

I know what you mean mate. It’s a tough one to swallow. They had a bit off of them temporarily which kinda forced my hand :whistle:
 
Got the GTI blue tartan front seat covers fitted.. cut my hands a bit.. also the front grille badge..
RIB bed/seat, front seats & gear stick gaitor matching.
Also gave the van a good wash & dry, got some Bilt Hamber on the alloys too.. looking good - no rain forecast til next weekend
