What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I admit I’m ocd but after someone at works car door dented my side loading door I got paintless dent removal done but was left with a chip that after touching in several thousand times I just wasn’t happy with so.. custom side stripes fitted this morning..I’m chuffed for £200 designed and fitted.

Question for quick response if poss, had a thread last week re: tyres.

Ordered

215/65 R16 102V XL

Now ATS have rang and said these aren’t van tyres. I’ve explained that I believed load rating was correct etc for t28.

Can anyone reassure me? Sorry for disturbing Saturday mornings
Just on this, tyres all fitted fine, but invoice states ‘customer wanted car tyres on his van’, besides the passive aggression, I presume the point is just not ‘commercial’ rated as a couple of you folks have suggested. I just don’t want to invalidate insurance or anything or obvs be doing anything risky with family in the van etc?!

The kerb weight of a Range Rover is about 2500kg and they would presumably think that was a car? Don't worry about it, your tyre loading is fine.

You'll be fine with your insurer as long as the tyres are correctly load rated.

Re-positioned Fiamma rear bracket as the one fitted had broken rivets.
I have moved the bracket back 17" to the rear.
This will give better support to the awning ,as it has a roof fitted the only fixing was forward of the original roof fixing that is now taken up by the roof.
I have drilled and fitted a rivet nut just in front of the roof fixing .
I have turned down the rivet nut so it can pass through the hole in the second skin of the van roof ,letting the rivet nut pull up where required on the top skin.

This has now worked really well and should now give better support.

Photo's show where fitted.

Hope this helps.

Fitted a couple of storage nets and noticed no dodo mat in the rear doors, so using what I had left over from my front doors I did the rears .
Also have put the wiring into the connector in the zip pocket (can't zip it back up does that matter!?) ready for the momentary lock button I'm putting in the rear.

dont worry I had the same from ats, he also had a go at me for 235 55 r17 tyres which I kindly replied was a factory size for the van as printed inside the door. He continued to tell me I would have trouble with the abs and front sensor as a result. Thousands of miles later, suprise suprise its fine

For the two bolts have you got some of those plastic caps to go over them? Just in case your canvas goes anywhere near them to prevent it being damaged

Also, forgot to mention I fitted the door seal upgrade on the front doors from v dub transporters and have to say it's made an incredible difference on the drivers door but no so much on the passenger door really, still see the little 'flutter' at the bottom of the door when closing.

Just finished adding all the requirements to get the latest New Zealand Self Containment certificate.
These photos were yesterday as a work in progress....... Electric flushing toilet with cassette and separate water tank, Sink with 25 litre grey water tank vented to outside, 25 liter fresh water tank, fixed rubbish bin. Off to get it inspected tomorrow. Hopefully it passes, as we are heading down to the bottom of the South Island in 3 weeks. Still lots of additions and refinements to do, some of which I will complete before we go, but as it is custom built I can tweak things as we need.
It is modular and all comes apart as 3 pieces (storage/dog compartments at back, sleeping platform with storage underneath in middle , and kitchen unit at front) so very easy to remove it all if van required to be used as a van.
