We have an additional outer snow cover for the poptop for when it gets gnarly, especially when we're skiing. So we put the insulation on the inside & the external snow cover on, makes for a very snug toasty interior. We sit around in shorts & t shirts in the evening when it's -20C oustide, with just the Webasto on or the fan heater if we have EHU.We wanted it outside to try and prevent rain hitting the pop top where possible. Seems to have worked quite well last night. A bit of noise in the wind but not too bad at all.
Cutting a piece for the windscreen meant no condensation on the inside and it's just held down with the wipers and the existing blackout cover.
Would recommend both of these for those not looking to fork out a lot of money and not going to extreme climates just to add a bit of protection.
