What TV are you watching??

Stretching the limit of the thread title, but if you telnet to towel.blinkenlights.nl they have the whole of Star Wars in ASCII animation. It's mega! Must have been so much work....
not a star wars fan but do appreciate a bit of ascii animation...as you say, must have taken an age to do

Watching reruns of The Mallorca Files on the BBC iPlayer for a bit of holiday sunshine comfort viewing... Majorca based version of Death in Paradise and they drive around in a tidy retro e30 rag top.
Via a different source a quirky period dark comedy set in Victorian Ireland called Dead Still, at times it comes a little unstuck but great lead characters and vaguely Father Ted/surreal at times... there must be some bits on YouTube but great series.
Last night's viewing was Greyhound, pretty tense to the point we sat there all clenched for 90 minutes!

has anyone finished Dark?

We recently started on this, in to series 2 at the moment... its certainly not one to put on in the background and drop in and out of as i find im constantly trying to figure out 'when' and 'who' if you follow what i mean without giving any spoilers!

I found a family tree helped. But yeah, I know what you mean.

Stay Frosty - Good call on Dead Still. Nor sure of you've seen to the end yet but we have and enjoyed it. It's good to see something that different every now and then.

Loz - What do you think of Justified thus far?

On the subject of something different, I'll put in a big shout for 'Secret City', a great Australian drama / thriller based upon the machinations of government in Canberra and Chinese espionage. It's a bit of a slow burner but it's different from the run usual stuff we get to see and Anna Torv is brilliant as an investigative journalist in the lead part (if you're familiar with 'Fringe', she played one of the leads, Olivia Dunham). We're half way through Season 2 at the moment and if you're going to watch it, suggest you start with Season 1.

Watched them mid June Ayjay and hopefully there'll be a second series as they've left it on a bit of a cliff hanger with the team going their separate ways... got me hooked anyway and who would have thought Dublin was the birthplace of the porn film industry?

Will do a search for Secret City as there's a few decent Australian series from time to time, liked the Mystery Road series with that stroppy Aborigine detective... yep, the one from Sweden but good and gritty with proper blood, snot and beers endings.

Realistically with Nord you can watch catch up TV from Aus, NZ, Canada and the US, interesting to see how many Canadian programmes are joint ITV ventures.

Hanna season 2 at.the min. Just finished line of duty and killing eve.

Currently watching “Little Fires Everywhere” on Amazon Prime. I’m really enjoying it. Watched Line of Duty early on in Lockdown - excellent. Quite enjoyed Normal People, then got stuck into The Crown which I’d never watched before, so realise I was probably very late to the party!

........as there's a few decent Australian series from time to time.......
You're right - I can remember thinking at the time how 'Skippy The Bush Kangaroo' never managed to pick up more awards - he was a seriously clever little chap (chapess?).

At age 10 I would have given my left plum to have been the kid in Flipper the Dolphin or Belle and Sebastian... mind you My White Horses used to bring on some strange sensations for a kid more used to drooling over racing bikes.:geek:
