What TV are you watching??

To be fair, they are the best trophies to win. I wouldn't be too concerned by getting beat by Newcastle in the cup then beat someone like Barca to win the Champions league.

As a Liverpool Supporter it’s now unfortunately all about the money. The winning club gets absolutely nothing really in money to lift the Fa Cup compared to winning the Premier league or Champions League.
Arnie put out only 4 1st team players so from the start we knew what the outcome would be. You watch on Weds when he puts all the 1st team players out. TBH I hope Everton do well as the premier league would be a Sombre place without them in the league. Is Man Utd went down then that’s a different question :fast rofl:

The game the other day was really good to watch. Years ago Premier or First division matches one could get to see whole games as we have the last 2 and Liverpool where often on TV. Match of the day is poor by comparison, one only get to view highlights chosen by the BBC and it gives no idea at all on the so called more mundane parts of the match how the match built up. It is OK listening to Linika and co but It is ridiculous how much they are paid. I would much prefer a whole match to watch.

Liverpool is my team, as regards to Everton, I want them to do well. As far as I am concerned so long as Liverpool comes first they can come second. My late farther told us that he would of course follow Liverpool as had his farther the latter who was born one year before Liverpool FC started but when Liverpool where away he would watch Everton at home and way back then Goodison had the better ground. As you know they started off in the same teem at Anfield before they went their own way. I only have been to Anfield a few times early in the 1960's I guess just after they won promotion back into the First Division. The last time that I saw them live was at Celtic’s ground. I was a mature student at Strathclyde University and I was lucky enough to have digs another College/School In Bearsden. One of the home wardens there often took me to watch Celtic play. That stopped when we went to watch Liverpool at a friendly playing there a memorial just after the then recent disaster and I was so excited when Liverpool won and Kenney Dalglish scored. I was a bit over the top and my escort a Celtic fan so he never asked me again. I did not mean to upset him, it was just all in the moment.

I also remember way back that many families had supporters for both sides and rivalry was not a bitter thing. I can remember a pair of brothers one on each side. In Glasgow their is real enmity to say the least between its two major rivals. I could have gone to either if I was asked but for locals there the history and religion go back an eternity. That is strange because increasingly Britain is going religonless so I guess many of them do not know why they hate each other so much. Glasgow by the way is so very much like Liverpool in so many ways and normally the people there are so friendly and strangers on the bus can talk to each other even though they do not know each other. Many a morning on the way in to Uni I would have been talking to little old ladies or some guy or other, it was just so natural

Resisted watching Slow Horses as I missed the first season but following pressure from my youngest and his wife we watched and then tore through the existing four seasons to the point where I'm now reading the eighth book "Bad Actors" obviously I've had to sign a spoiler alert clause but without giving too much away Snape kills Dumbledore!

Bingeing on Billions this week. Everyone stabbing each other in the back, only taking timeout from that to swear a lot and occasionally indulge in graphic depictions of bondage sex.

Reminds me of me!

Watching the Women’s England v Spain football a fabulous game Spain at first looked indomitable. Spain in attach crisp snappy passes very decisive making life hard. England get the ball Spain just as decisive fast man for man marking pressing very aggressive soon regain possession and continue . \then suddenly England are up the pitch showing ability attacking over and over eventually during a thrust of attacking football with Spain very much on the defensive England score. Its there turn to pres Spain loose ball England advance.

So half Time England 1 Spain 0

I only came upon it looking for Liverpool game on the radio but not on however half time
