+1 for this method. loosening the bolts a bit (id undo, then do up again finger tight) and driving slowly isn't going to result in the wheels falling off. The spigot in the middle of the wheel is still going to be supporting the weight of the vehicle but without the clamping force of the bolts the corrosion will break free as the wheel rotates.Have you tried to loosen the bolts a little then move the van a few meters. I had the same issue a while back.
I too had this same issue with my first ever T6 puncture. Felt like the wheel was welded on. I eventually called the VW Assistance and the guy came out, he couldn't get it off by hand either and then used a leather covered mallet to belt it a few times and hey presto it was off.Hi im at a loss
I can not get my wheels off to change to 20s.
Day 2 has beat me again
I've tried fronts and rears and cant budge them,
Before any smart a''' says take bolts out first i have LOL
has any one got any tips tricks hacks to get them off?
No,Is this your van @Dellmassive ?
That will polish out!Well done @Firthster...nice wheels...just a tiny dent I noticed, might need sorting so it doesn't detract from the new wheels!?
Wd40 the last thing you want anywhere near the wheels.Sounds like the wheels have seized onto the hub. Have you tried WD40 (penetrating fluid) and a large rubber mallet to ‘shock’ them off?
Squirted directly behind where they meet with the hub?Wd40 the last thing you want anywhere near the wheels.
