Thanks very much, it sure hurt like hell when they started scrubbing all of the brick dust/debris out of it!@DaveyB - good luck at the JR, let's hope the miracle team are on duty to perform your face lift. Sadly, not even a helmet would withstand a diamond-tipped grinder wheel and you certainly didn't want any of that debris complicating matters. Hope all goes well and I wish you a speedy recovery.
Very interesting indeed. The Fire Service did the bulk of it; amazing seeing them at work. But that's why we do these sorts of jobs - everyday is unusual which is what makes them interesting.

RNLI were there too.Because the water fairies are usually asleep or playing football/volleyball!
ooh, now that is harsh. Water fairies is so inaccurate when we do 5 RTC's for every fire. Besides thanks to good old elf & safety the crews are not permitted to play ball sports at work anymore, so they all just pose in front of the mirror in the gym insteadBecause the water fairies are usually asleep or playing football/volleyball!
Now i was thinking lifeguards not firemen or is that fire persons ?ooh, now that is harsh. Water fairies is so inaccurate when we do 5 RTC's for every fire. Just helped rescue a half tonne pregnant cow from the bottom of a 70ft cliff.
Slightly unusual...
The van has been a landscape truck (carrying my strimmer) and transport to the local woods for a hike so far this weekend.
