3 hours after the A66 had been cleared of the snow forcing it to be closed overnight.
Drove from Cambridge to Fife in one go.

It was sunny and dry (mostly) the whole way! The weather front due to have gone by 3pm must have left early or arrived late. From Peterborough the sun came out and the roads were dry and clear of snow the whole way. Even the top of the A66 had been swept and was just wet.

Another weekend another Essex outing - managed a whopping 17 miles from home today

Visited the Chelmsford Park & Ride Bootsale, full of tat, then stopped at a garden centre in Danbury, then Asda at South Woodham for some sandwiches and finally stopped at Marsh Farm for a picnic in the van overlooking Hullbridge on the other side of the river.

Spotted this lovely Ravenna blue 6.1 on stilts too

Did you kip in your van on the side of the A66? I got caught out at Tan Hill in mine couple of years ago. Kipped in the van no issues and the pub made us so welcome.

Not with van, but in Lignano Sabbiadoro in Italy since our daughter is competing for GB in fin swimming. There were quite a number of vans parked up next to beach, and can thoroughly recommend the area.
