Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Not massively van related but it was used to get there; Helicopter training and the family was allowed to come along too.

If you've never stood in the downdraft of a big helicopter, you must; its incrediby hard to remain standing and not get blown over!

In the days when I was in the fire service, our station was part of the north Wales offshore firefighting team. We used to train regularly with 22 squadron at RAF Valley initially with the Wessex and then the Sea King, great fun. Once saw a knob of a station officer (as they were called then) grab the earthing highline on the winch cable before it earthed, he took an extra short flight that day!! He was an unpopular chap so we all took great joy in rolling around on the floor with a dose of the hysterics

Thought that was an extra from war of the worlds m8.. Coming to a car park near you soon.. Lol..
