Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Earlier, on the way from Kent to sunny Cornwall...

Now parked up in a slightly foggy and chilly Tintagel!

Also, yes, slightly envious of the swamper crafter next door!
You must get a traditional pasty (all other kind of pasties are wrong!) from Pengenna Pasties! Love them. The large are a whole meal and more! :)

We were there at the end of April last year and it went from this on the 28th...

To this the next day...IMG20240429162051.jpg
We were supposed to go Brixham after three days at Tintagel but bailed and missed the dysentery outbreak there from their water supply, having missed that event we're going for a possible reenactment in mid April but taking Northampton water as we can handle the trace level heavy metals and are immune to benzine.
The wife has said she's over Cornwall but I do still like Padstein and the Camel estuary but generally in season it suffers the curse, as do all the hotspots in Cornhole of too many aimless wandering fellow pensioners... yep, myself included.

I could sit and watch the waves roll in all day long, being next to the sea definitely clears my head and puts me in a better mood! That's some nice sets coming in today, probably about 2-3ft. Not the cleanest but there's a few surfers out.

Go here every year. You're parked up at New Polzeath. We normally stay at Gunvenna, you pass it on the way to & from Wadebridge about 5 mins from where you are.

Love it down there.

Yeah I was going to park on the beach (extreme off-road!!!) but here is free and the view is great.

I lost a watch (left it on top of the car after changing out my wetsuit) in the cliff top carpark on the opposite side of the beach, about 20 years ago!!

Tristram Car Park, not a great place to park if your handbrakes ropey and you dont like hill starts ;)

mot re-test, last min rush job front tire looked a bit suspect so swapped spare onto it for test, failed with

Repair immediately (major defects):
  • Nearside Front Tyre not fitted in accordance with side wall instructions (5.2.3 (i)),
some plonker didn't check if tire was directional when fitting, still not admitting to be a plonker yet its a ex-rac van with a directional tire for spare who would of thought and still not admitting to being a plonker as every time i type tyre is asking me to spell check, i even googled tire and tyre several times before the penny dropped so i'm a little plonker :speechless:
