Which lithium battery?

So, finally going to install a leisure battery after talking about it and then doing nothing. Main reason is I want a diesel heater in the next few months.

Anyway, I’m going to opt for a Renogy DCC50S and limit the charging current to 30A. I was eying up a 105Ah Fogstar lithium battery but they’re now out of stock. How do they measure up to the Renogy 100Ah battery? Would you wait for the Fogstar?

Thanks for any advice.

Umm.....

Renogy do a larger ah battery. That fits I. The same physical space....

I have the Renogy. It works fine. I had a little issue (resolved on here) and there is zero help from Renogy.
I’ve fitted a Fogstar into a friend’s van and it seems more compact. The app is better in my opinion and the bottom line is that it’s UK supplied with a company that you can contact.
My next battery will be Fogstar.

Thanks, I’ve opted for and ordered a Fogstar Drift 105Ah battery

Wise move re the Fogstar. I have had two Renogy 50aH Life04 batteries that I have had to split open to reset the bms because cell groups have gone out of balance. I am now waiting for a balancing board arriving from Amazon to hopefully prevent voltage levels going down on any of the 4S arrays.

I guess Renogy (which I hate, as I refused a 20A charger - ordered 40A the same day - and got 75 quids refunded after 6 months) or ecoworthy are general cheap options. Seat base 200 ah thingy (fogstar, roamer) + newest greatest victron dc to dc is the premium choice.

Anyone have any experience of the TopBand batteries?

Main attraction here is the easy replacement as it's already in a DIN case so I wouldn't have to do any wiring faff - just drop in and reconnect battery connections. Downside is obviously I could recover some space by using a smaller dimensions lithium on its side.

Not come across them myself.... Any YouTube vids showing a teardown?

Other options seem to be Titan batteries:

However the price difference is significant for a DIN-cased 105 Ah battery vs a Fogstar one. With a pair of M8 to SAE adaptors I feel like a fogstar battery on its side would be a better answer?
